FirePro fire suppression technology, the LPCB certificated condensed aerosol fire suppression product has yet again broken new ground in demonstrating its versatility to provide yet another solution, this time for smart public waste bins, located on NHS premises. The waste bins provide groundbreaking solar-powered technology, that constantly monitors the deposited refuse content, and internally compacts the waste until a ‘full’ signal is sent requesting that it's emptied, this technology has significant outstanding environmental and cost savings.
FirePro UK was asked how their product may be engineered to enhance safety against the threat of an internal fire. Following a full strip-down of the waste unit, our Ollie Harvey worked a solution with the client to provide an extremely low-cost, stand alone, solution, utilizing a 20gm FirePro unit equipped with a bulb thermal actuator (BTA). The client was extremely impressed with the proposal, and knowing that some form of internal fire suppression was better than none, proceeded with their order at less than £140 per smart waste bin. FirePro technology has once again proven itself, in yet another application in which both water and pressurized gas may have been used, however at an extremely high cost by comparison, which was not necessary.
