The United Kingdom & Ireland proudly boasts an array of historic heritage premises, which over time, and much too often are severely damaged, if not completely destroyed by fire.
Older historic premises may contain voids above ceilings, and in floors, often bone-dry timber structures, or original cavities that extend between floors and create spaces for the spread of either smoke, heat or fire. Some premises may contain historic archive material that may be completely destroyed by water fire suppression systems.
